What Is Your Business Signage Communicating?

The Importance of Quality Signage

Quality signage doesn't just look nice, it actually makes an impact on consumer buying decisions. A recent study by a market research firm BrandSpark International found that "Across genders, age groups, and regions, 29% of American consumers report that they have been drawn into unfamiliar stores based on the quality of the store's signage." This is a very significant finding. Poor signage can actually cost you customers and potentially profits. The public does indeed often judge "a book by its cover". The quality of your signage is a direct reflection of your business. You are actively communicating important factors about your business through your signage, including quality, professionalism, modernization, and authority. What is your business signage communicating?

Your Signage Needs to Be Visible

It doesn't matter how great your signage is or what it communicates, if no one can see it. Your signage must be easily visible to potential customers. The same study referenced above, stated that almost 50% of Americans have failed to find a business because of poorly visible, confusing, or small signage. This is an extremely important statistic. Not only that, it is a very controllable variable. Signage that is hard to see should be replaced with prominent signage and supported with additional wayfinding signage. Make it easy for your customers to do business with you.

Update or Replace Low Quality Signage

The facts don't lie. It is imperative as a business owner to update or replace any commercial signage that is too small, in disrepair, poorly designed, or does not properly represent your brand. Your interior and exterior business signs should all be prominent, sharp, and a direct reflection of your brand. If you need to update your business signage in the Metro Atlanta area, contact Altair Sign & Light. Our experienced team can assist you with sign design, manufacturing, and installation.
